What is your style?
We get asked that question a lot, and we hear a lot of buzzwords. Photojournalistic. Traditional. Fine Art. Commercial. But narrowing our style down to one word or phrase just doesn’t seem right, because on any given day we can be all of those things at once. The best way we can describe ourselves would be as creative wedding storytellers. Our number one goal is to best reflect you, while artfully recording your wedding day. We do this by unobtrusively capturing events as they unfold and allowing you and your guests to truly experience the fun and magic of your day. When the time comes, we’ll take the lead and offer up creative and natural ways that will make you look your best – not stiff and awkward. We’re always coming up with fun new ways to get our couples to relax and be themselves in front of the camera, and new ways to capture those moments. By mixing the posed photos with the undirected candids we’ll create a lasting, timeless set of images that your family will enjoy for generations.
What does your coverage include?
All of our wedding coverage is with both Joel and Andrea as your photographers with coverage ranging from 8-12 hours depending on your wedding needs and budget. All packages include an engagement portrait session and wedding album. Both your wedding and engagement session will be presented as a web gallery with digital negatives presented to you on a custom USB drive. In addition we’ll be here to guide you from start to finish. Whether it be makeup tips for the bride, vendor recommendations, or wedding day timeline planning, we’re happy to pull on our years of experience to help you make the most of your day. How many images will we receive?
A typical wedding will consist of about 500 edited images. We shoot way more than that. A lot. But don’t worry, you won’t have to spend hours searching through all the duplicates, the duds, and the ones with your eyes closed, we do that for you. Every wedding is unique and variables like wedding size, weather, and the amount of time we are allotted will all affect the overall number of finished images. Regardless of the final count, all of your images will be adjusted for proper color, contrast, and skin tone and cropped if needed. In addition, we’ll select a handful of photos and create some gorgeous black and whites for you.
When will we receive our images?
We know you’ll be excited to see your images and we are equally excited to share them with you. We try to post a quick sneak peek on Facebook for you just a few days after the wedding. About three weeks later your full set of photos will be posted to your private web gallery. At the same time, your high resolution images will be available to pick up, or mailed to you if necessary. If you chose a collection with an album in it we’ll get you started on that right away, guiding you along our quick and easy process to get you your album in as little as 8 weeks!
Do we really need a wedding album?
We hear this occasionally and can understand why, at least on the surface. In this age of digital everything, isn’t a physical album just overkill when you’ll be getting the files too? No. Not at all. Not even a bit. There really is no substitution for the lasting value of a quality wedding album. After your wedding day, how many times do you think you are going to sit down at your computer and look through 500+ images. Probably not that many, and your precious memories end up getting buried on a hard drive or in a drawer. Your wedding album is a work of art that tells the story of your wedding day and is your first family heirloom. It’s meant to last for generations, long after changes in technology make your disc or USB drive obsolete. Imagine only having the 645 medium format negatives from your grandparents wedding to look at? What’s a 645 medium format negative you ask? Exactly. That’s what your grandkids will be saying about a DVD or a .jpg file. Photographs are meant to be printed and that’s what we love to do – help you create a gorgeous work of art that will be your families’ to share for generations to come.
How do we book you for our wedding?
It’s quite simple really. Give us a call or fill out our contact form and we’ll set up a time to meet in person to talk more about your big day. Getting to know and like your photographer is a big deal. You’ll be with them as much, if not more, than just about anyone else on your wedding day. If you decide we’re the right fit for you, the contract and deposit of $600 will both be conveniently taken care of online.
